ABBEY OF MORRONA OPENS THE DOORS OF ITS WINERY

In September and October, the scent of grapes and must welcomes wine lovers to the wineries of the Movimento Turismo del Vino. This is the time when wineries come alive with the incessant work in the vineyard and the selection of the best grapes, an evocative time to visit the vineyards, participate with the winemakers in the grape harvest and the first stages of processing.
To best accommodate enthusiasts, wineries organize special events such as art exhibitions, performances, concerts and more.
Cantine Aperte, the largest Wine and Wine Tourism Festival in Europe, is back again this year, at more than 800 wineries associated with the Wine Tourism Movement throughout Italy.
Badia di Morrona, will take advantage of this occasion to open the doors of its winery, Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, in Via del Chianti 6, 56030 Terricciola (PI).
A magical moment to make known a historic estate in the province of Pisa that since 1939, when the Gaslini Alberti family bought it, has been conducted with foresight and entrepreneurial ability. Vineyards have been renovated, production techniques constantly improved, and the cellar and barrique cellar for aging in wood have been renovated and expanded.
Today the winery produces wine and evo oil, offers various facilities for agritourism, a restaurant, a tasting room, a farm store and the use of the late 11th-century Badia as a venue for all kinds of events and ceremonies.
There will be guided tours of the winery, tasting of the estate’s wines and extra virgin olive oil and sampling of typical Tuscan products.
For the occasion, the sales point will be open and it will be possible to buy Badia di Morrona products for the duration of the event.

The price is €20 per person, which will include a tour of the winery, oil and wine tasting and samples of typical Tuscan products.
